Soft Maintain

Soft Maintain Ltd

Our focus is on implementing software into areas of manufacturing plants where systematic improvements can be made. Our main focus is where the correct software tools can improve efficiencies; reduce waste, energy usage and environmental impacts.

We have hands on experience in high volume production plants. With this experience and our software development capabilities in .NET, SQL Server, ASP we can bring you up to date software at a user level that works with you.

Soft Maintain

Soft Maintain Manages Maintenance Tasks, Manufacturing Machines, Manufacturing Site and with integrated spares control manages spares storage and spares purchasing.

The system has been built around spares control to help prevent spares related problems such as line stoppers or un-necessary changeovers and provide an analysis of spares which can be used to identify reoccurring problems.

The Tasks section holds the maintenance engineers jobs these are broken down into the following categories, breakdowns, preventative tasks, health and safety tasks, improvements, service schedules and routine tasks.
A task has references to the site location of the job, the machine, and any spares that are required.

The Machines section contains the list of the plant’s machines. Machines holds the machine information eg location and properties. By looking at the details of the machine you can see the spares inventory list, the task history, spares usage history and spares purchase history. From this you can get an analysis of reoccurring faults, maintenance time spent and spares used.

The Site section holds your site information. Site can be broken down into area, section, line and operation. The operation can then hold a reference to a machine. Each part of the site can be linked to a site plan so that the site location can be viewed and printed.

The Spares Section We have taken spares control a stage further, with the advanced spares search facilities you can locate a spare on the system by the component’s properties not relying on part numbers. With this facility you can check for the spare or any possible alternatives you may have in storage.
The spares are linked throughout the system making navigation simple.
A spare can be put onto a task to organise planned tasks and help identify reoccurring problems.
The machines have spares lists giving an alternate method of locating a spare and creating a used history.

The Storage section holds the spares storage information. It holds the location, the quantity and possible conditions (new, refurbished). The storage location can be linked to a site plan so that the location can be viewed and printed.

The Purchasing section deals with spares orders. When a spare needs to be ordered for a task or for storage it is put onto the awaiting order list this list can be sorted to the spares for a selected supplier so that a purchase order can be created for all the spares required that the supplier stocks. The order request goes onto the awaiting delivery list until a delivery is created for it. When the order request is delivered it can be given a delivery location and it goes onto the delivered list. The delivery location is used by the engineer so they know where to pick the delivery up from. The order request status can be viewed from the spares and the tasks.

The Health and Safety section keeps the site COSH information, risk assessments, pat testing, electrical installation certificates and site events.

Short Lists is a unique method of grouping documents of the section types. The user can create short lists of a type and add what they choose to the list this is good for project works or responsibilities.

Reports All of the sections have printout facilities. The system creates a word document that can then be printed. This has two advantages one is the document template can be formatted and two the document can be revised after printing or the data used elsewhere.

Customisation and Integration We are committed to getting you a complete maintenance reference. If your company works differently than that is detailed, your project can be customised. Customisation requests should be sent to development you can do this via the contact management in the web area. Also the software can be integrated with critical machines giving you running or alarm status.

Contact Management With the continuous development of new computing technologies we can offer improved methods of communication. For sales, help, training, support, development or company news there is The Company Web Area, here you can ask questions about the system. You can also download tutorials and updates.

Internal Support Soft Maintain has the contact management facility built into it where you can ask questions about the system.
